4795 Crankshaft Seal Installing Tool - for VAG
This crankshaft seal flange removal and installation tool is suitable for Volkswagen and Audi Group for 16v 1.4 and 1.6L engines fitted to Audi, Fiat, Skoda and Volkswagen.
- Applications include: VAG 1.4 and 1.6L 16v engines and some Fiat engines.
- Engine code: BAG 1.6L direct injection (petrol).
- Equivalent to OEM T10017 for installing OE seal #030 103 171 G.
- An engine-specific tool which is vital to ensure the correct alignment of main seal house crankshaft sensor.
- Seal housing carries the crankshaft sensor mounting.

Faulty Cranshaft Oil Seal?
Renewing the oil seal on the Crankshaft on Volkswagen and Audi engines is not a task for the feint hearted. The flywheel end oil seal is integral with the oil seal housing and engine speed sensor and is supplied with a new timing ring. If the oil seal is faulty the whole of the assembly needs to be replaced.
Two tools are available from Laser Tools which press the new seal housing assembly into place. The first of these two tools is specifically designed for Audi A3/A4 and Volkswagen Golf, Touran and can also be used on other four cylinder diesel engines including 1.4/1.6 Direct Injection (Petrol) and 1.9/2.0 SDi, 2.0 TDi and 2.0 Common Rail diesels.(Part No 4809).
The second tool is specifically designed for Seat, Skoda and Volkswagen 1.4/1.6 16v engines (Part No 4795).
Both tools ensure the seals are fitted safely and in the right position.
