  • Designed for spark plug size: M14 x 1.25mm with flat sealing area. Milling head diameter 20mm .
  • Cleaning of the spark plug seat using a compression spring with integrated flat seal seat milling tool.
  • Manufactured from chrome molybdenum for long life.
  • The 13mm drive hex is equipped with a spring-loaded detent ball to help hold the assembly in the socket. Length of tool 55mm

Another service tool designed to get you out of trouble and speed things up — this special spark plug thread chaser from Laser Tools (part number 8083), also features an integrated flat seal-seat milling tool.  Designed to clean and restore threads in the engine block to allow new spark plugs to be fitted with ease, it ensures that not only are the spark plug port threads cleaned but that the plug seat is skimmed at the same time (removing any contaminants and corrosion) to allow for better spark plug sealing.

So if you feel the spark plug is reluctant to screw in cleanly, reach for the thread chaser. It’s designed for 14mm x 1.25 plug threads, and driven by the 13mm hex drive which features a spring-loaded ball to hold the chaser securely in the socket. The narrow profile makes it ideal for hard to reach areas.

Coat with grease to catch any metal swarf, then gently run the chaser down the length of the plug thread. It will restore the threads while the spring-loaded flat seat milling tool cleans off the spark plug seat. Manufactured from chrome molybdenum steel for strength and black phosphate coated for corrosion resistance. Not suitable for tapered spark plug seats.
