Monday 06 September 2021
The design of Ford’s latest version of the 1.0lt Ecoboost petrol engine has changed significantly from the original Ecoboost. Gone is the oil-wetted cam belt drive; the latest design is chain driven and this means the engine timing tools have also changed. The new Laser 8076 engine timing tool kit has been designed specifically for these post-2017 chain-driven engines.

Designed and manufactured in Sheffield by Laser Tools, model applications include: C-Max (from 2017), Focus (from 2018), Transit Connect (from 2017), Puma (from 2019) and Fiesta (from 2017). Engine applications: engine codes B7DA and B3DA.

The kit is made up of the flywheel locking tool, VCT setting pin, crankshaft timing pin, crankshaft front pulley timing pin, and the tensioner locking pin. Also included are the VVT locking tools equivalent to OEM 303-1661, 303-1661/1 and 303-1661/2 plus the VVT camshaft sprocket socket.

Essential for the technician/workshop working on these engines and available now from your Laser Tools stockist.
